So here's improvements for Switch 1 games run on Switch 2:

From videos I've seen, others from what I've read. In general nearly all games have faster loading and much higher frame rates. Others hold higher resolution instead of dropping with DRS

Lego City, flawless framerate and resolution, much faster loading

Zelda Age of Calamity locked framerate

Animal Crossing locked framerate with a fully loaded island

Batman Arkham Knight locked 30fps

Bayonetta 2 and 3 now locked 60fps

Witcher 3, retains a high resolution and locked 30fps

Fire Emblem three hopes locked 60fps

GTA Trilogy locked 30fps

RE5 60fps

KOTOR locked 60fps

Xenoblade 2 looks much better in Gormott pics:

https://www.resetera.com/threads/have-you-noticed-any-switch-1-games-that-run-better-on-switch-2.1207977/page-6#post-140991375

Disco Elysium locked 30fps

Borderlands 3 now higher resolution and locked 60fps but has screen tearing and dimming issues

Tales of Vesperia is locked 60 now

Monster Hunter Stories 2 is 60fps

RE6 locked 60fps

Re0 instant load times

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 runs at a stable 60FPS

MLB The Show, which runs atrociously on Switch 1, runs flawlessly at 60 fps on Switch 2.

Ashen now 60fps

No More Heroes 3: Framerate now runs perfectly in battles and looks crisp

Most from Resetera, some from MVG, digital Foundry, Switch Up on YouTube.

Palia now "running better than ps5" wut

Witcher 3 The most unstable area in the game on Switch 1 (Novigrad) is now a locked 30fps

Smash Ultimate instant loading

Gone Home "still runs like absolute shit"

Astral Chain some weird chatter saying it can go as high as 4k, can't be right. Vgc has a video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5k86pt0CWk

Super Mario rpg is locked 60fps

Xenoblade 3 has 20% better load times

Xenoblade 1 "looks and performs better even without patch". higher res thresholds

Metro Last Light 30fps locked

Portal 1 is now a smooth 60fps with gyro aiming and quick load times.

House of the Dead Remake is pretty stable 60fps now and in conjunction with the gyro controls is probably the best version of the game

-Panzer Dragoon Remake runs much better as well, appears to stay 60fps even without activating performance mode

Doom 3 locked 60

Ninja Gaiden 3 locked 60fps and uses the maximum resolution avaliable.

Rocket League loads quickly & runs great in performance mode. Locked 60 fps & max resolution for the dynamic resolution at all times.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 appears to be locked 60 now

Yoshi's Crafted World seems to have faster load times

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (original, not the remake) appears to be stable 60fps now. I don't think it was on Switch 1.

Inside, Abzu, Amnesia, Edith Finch, Gorogoa are all stable but locked to 30fps

Ion Fury secret code makes it locked 60fps

Furi 60fps locked

Fast RMX is noticeably higher res on Switch 2

"Is actually absurd how much better Minecraft runs on switch 2. I even think the LoD is a lot better"

Base Shin Megami Tensei V
Still feel delayed even with a stable 30fps this time and what seem to me a consistent framepacing

Xenoblade Chronicles 2
- Docked: stable 30 fps and framepacing, max-out its dynamic res
- Handheld: same yet the issue is that the max dynamic res is low, so the end result is not that good because of the double upscaling (first one at 720p and the second one at 1080p)

Xenoblade Chronicles 3
- Docked: same as XC2
- HH: same as XC2 at the difference that the dynamic res is a bit higher. Aliasing seems more prononced to me (potentially because of the visual style of XC3)

Xenoblade Chronicles X
- Docked: same as XC2 and 3, at the difference that the max dynamic seems to be 1080p, the game is a bit more sharper than Switch 1 since it tops the dynamic res all the time
- HH: IQ softer than docked (probably because of the upscale from 720p to 1080p), else not much difference i would say

Fire Emblem Three Houses
- Docked: stable 30fps and framepacing, max-out its dynamic res. Aliasing is more pronounced
- HH: same as XCX

Fire Emblem Engage
- Docked: stable 30fps and framepacing, max-out its dynamic res (which seems to be 1080p). This time it doesn't looked more aliased, probably because of the art style of the game
- HH: same as FE:TH

Tokyo Mirage Session
- Docked: stable 30fps and framepacing, max-out its dynamic res (which seems to be way lower than 1080p). Very aliased
- HH: Pretty much the same (with a lower resolution of course)

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
- Docked: stable 30fps and framepacing, max-out its dynamic res (which doesn't seems to be 1080p). Aliased
- HH: same (with a lower resolution of course)

Ninja Gaiden 2 locked 60fps

So this is pretty huge. Switch 2 is 10x more powerful than switch.

It seems any game that has a 30 cap now locks there rather than dipping.

Any game with a 60 cap or unlocked now goes up to and maintains 60fps

Any game with dynamic resolution now renders higher more consistently, some just running at max resolution

Unfortunately all the games look bad in handheld mode as they have a 720p cap the way they were designed for switch 1. And the 1080p screen doesn't help.

So like I said, Switch 2 is one update away from being fucking awesome. Let the handheld mode run as if it's Docked.

Or just enable DRS on all games and let the resolution bump up to 1080p.

These 30fps capped games, if they removed the cap they would probably all run at 60.

It's funny how different gaming is now from 35 years ago. I didn't know what frame rate and resolution even were. I had this one nerdy work friend that expained why Doom wasn't really 3D and Quake was true 3D and techically far superior to anything on my Saturn. He told me I'd ditch consoles forever if I had a PC. He got me into PC gaming but I still haven't ditched consoles!

Trials of Mana now 60fps

"XIII, however, runs great and looks great"

Little Nightmares run at 60 fps

RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures running uncapped at around 30fps, with some dips. And it looks sharper

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition looks clean & run at a solid 60 fps.

Indivisible looks like a 60fps lock now, which is nice!

Klonoa crashes upon launch for now, sadly. First game I've run into that doesn't work.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk has an 'unleash the beast' unlocked fps mode that used to be nice but jittery and now runs absolutely flawlessly

Bakeru (3D platformer/action game by ex Goemon devs) seems to run great now on Switch 2. The framerate was all over the place on Switch 1. Now it seems to be a pretty stable 60fps

Neo the world ends with you locked 60

Natsumon now looks great

Age Of Calamity
Dragonball Z Kakarot
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
Arcade Paradise
Bayonetta 3
Dead Cells

and they ALL run at their max FPS

Xenoblade chronicles definitive actually runs at the max res

Pokemon Snap 60fps it seems

Prodeus 60 fps

Doom looks alot sharper

Red Faction Guerilla 60fps

Dragon Quest 3 HD is running way smoother

Hyrule Warriors DE has a bug which lets it run 1080p handheld, super clean rock solid 60fps

Dragon Ball FighterZ and it seems it runs without drops now

Switch 2 version of Sonic X Shadow Generations is a locked 60fps

Mortal Kombat 1 on Switch 2.

Resolution (dynamic) is slightly higher.
Loading times significantly better.
The frequent framerate drops are completely gone. It's a locked 60fps on SW2 now.

Saints row 3 and 4 both run unlocked and 3 hits 60

Age of Calamity seems to be running at 60FPS on handheld mode too

MLB the Show 25 really is running at 60 fps

Tested a few on handheld mode only:

Quake 2 - Runs absolutely perfect and great on the screen. Better than on Retroid Pocket 5 IMO

Ghost Song - much more stable and enjoyable, really transformative.

Have a Nice Death - Perfect, absolutely no hitches anymore. The resolution could see a bump on handheld mode though.

Aeterna Noctis - Very stable now, no fluctuations, but man, that resolution is so, so low, that I regret buying this game.

Cruis'n Blast appears to be flawless now.

Dead cells locked 60fps

Mario and rabbids kingdom battle is definitely 60fps now. Sparks of hopes is 30

Disco Elysium also looks substantially sharper locked 30

Advance Wars 1+2 seems like it's running at 60fps

Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection runs nice and smooth

Mario Tennis Aces runs & looks great on Switch 2

Vampire Survivors 60 locked

Kingdom Come Deliverance earlier and the image quality was way, way better and with a more consistent framerate

Phantom Doctrine 60fps

Famicom Detective Club games render at a perfectly clean 1080p in handheld and the art looks gorgeous

Portal 2 launched in flight mode is 60fps

Wondefull 101. Runs like a dream and looks fantastic handheld on this bigger screen.
Loading are pretty quick as well

I tried Snowrunner on Switch 2.

You guys might want to test out some Switch 1 games on Switch 2 via the tv there seem to be big improvements.

So Snowrunner, has butt long load times but seemed shorter on Switch 2.

I couldn't load up the main game as the mods weren't downloaded and if I continue the game deletes the trucks I've customised. One of the mods is taking forever to download.

So I tried the trials instead, short mission based gameplay segments.

The framerate seemed completely smooth. More impressive was the resolution seems to hold high virtually all the time.

Really need to get these mods working so I can see the main maps.

Edit - managed to load the mods and open the Maine map. Mods still make loading long.

Frame rate and resolution seem max though? It looks relatively close to PS4 version  now. At least as close as its possible to.

Handheld resolution still low, needs a patch.

Snowrunner deleted all my nodded trucks again. Pain in the ass.

I can confirm from my testing resolution is a lot sharper and framerate is smooth.

The loading however seems similarly long. Even when switching between trucks in truck storage menu.

I tried XIII and the frame rate is perfectly smooth now.

I also downloaded one of the worst performing switch games, Firewatch and the framerate is now perfect.

It's gotten to the stage where it looks like virtually every single game you can expect to run smoothly now. And if it's using dynamic resolution you can expect max resolution at all times, up to whatever it's capped at.

I also saw a video of Saints Row 3 and 4. Both are now 60fps as is Red Faction remastered.
