I'm getting really interested in Trauma Team. I mistakenly bought Second Opinion but since I had the DS game it was a re-run for me. New Blood launched so late in europe I forgot about it and gave up caring. 

Trauma Team sounds great, quite different and it has some phoenix wright in it.

Even though this picks up where the already established Trauma Center series left off, there's really nothing else like Trauma Team out there. There's such a variety of game play that it feels like several different games wrapped up in to one package. Thankfully, the Wii control scheme on all of these fields is fantastic, leaving the only stress to come from operating room pressure. But what really makes this game is the television-style drama that you'll uncover in the episodes from these six characters. Each of these characters have pasts that are slowly revealed as you play, but their lives will also relate to each other, making their stories even more engaging.

If you liked the Trauma Center games, you have to try Trauma Team, as Atlus has evolved the formula so much that its predecessors look pretty primitive. For those that didn't dig older Trauma Center games so much, know Trauma Team is a much improved experience, many times over. There's so much varied game play and story content in Trauma Center that I feel like it's easy to recommend to just about anyone.

Anyone who’s played Ace Attorney will recognize plenty here – analyzing witness and patient statements, surveying a crime scene, building strong evidence, and more. The cases and diagnosis mysteries were intriguing to unravel, but the brisk clip of other modes slows to a crawl as you take on these longform chapters. After I’d completed all of the diagnosis missions and was a ways into forensics, it felt so removed from the rest of the game that I had to actively remind myself that I was playing a Trauma Center title and that surgery would eventually return in the end.

...better come out in the U.S.!  

I hope it does, but there getting to be a glut of DQ games that have come out in Japan that haven't reach us yet.  DQIX, DQVI, and now Joker 2.  Plus Battle Road is getting released in Japan over the summer.  I just don't see that many DQ games getting released in such a short time span over here.

I'm looking forward to this, though who knows when I'll pick it up.  I only played the original on the DS and it was just way too hard for me. Maybe the other elements will keep me interested and will push me through the harder surgeries.

 I've bought all 4 trauma games but only really enjoyed the two DS ones.  I think actually touching makes the gameplay much more satisfying than hand-waving.  i'm sure i won't be able to resist trauma team though

I hear the games were toned down from the tough original. The Wii second opinion is easier because of the better controls.

I hope so. I've got a hand tremor that kind of keeps me from doing well at fine control games like the original (and is probably why I completely suck at Rhythm Heaven). I like the whole premise of the game, so it may be something I force myself through even if I completely suck at it.
