WiiWare No More Heroes wannabe (I guess, maybe not).
I've had it with these motherfucking zombies on this motherfucking plane!
Nibris of Sadness infamy is somehow related to them so, er, yeah. But some of that level art looks nice.
Though the character art is WAY too low poly. But the environments have improved from their older screenshots quite a bit. Maybe these will too. Though from the last shot in the teaser that doesn't seem to be the case at all.

Hitman 5, pretty cool. The last one was good but Hitman 2 is still the best. Surprised its been so long since they made one.
Started playing FF13 last night. Mixed reactions so far. I liked the western direction they were going with FF12 and really wish they stuck with that, with its focus on exploration and real-time combat. With FF13, they've gone back to a more Japanese style a la FF10, which is great, but they've also REALLY stripped it down and simplified things to the point where many of the elements that made FF....err, FF, are gone. There is ZERO exploration; you just get thrown into these random "acts" and fight your way through in some ASS-EASY random battles. I mean this shit is fucking simple...at least 20 times easier than the combat in any other FF game so far. The game is ultra-linear as well thanks to the aformentioned mission setup. It really seems like they were trying to make it as accessible as possible for the more casual players. Graphically its beautiful; I'm playing the PS3 version and its probably the best looking game on the system. The story and characters are kind of MEH right now, surprisingly. And they have their token whiny girl character yet fucking again. I really hope it gets better cause as of right now this game is to FF12 and FF10, what FF9 was to FF8 and FF7: Good but should be much better.
Lost Odyssey smokes this game, easily.
Also just got Red Steel 2 and No More Heroes 2. Will play Red Steel 2 tonight.
It's typical Trauma Center stuff, but it was fun to do something a bit different.
You basically control the scope, pushing in to go further, pulling out to retreat. You have a set of tools to siphon blood, inject medicine, spray to detect ulcers, cauterize and so forth. You, of course, need a steady hand and quick reflexes to get a good score. I didn't. I was bumping into walls, injecting Stabilizer again and again, thinking it was medicine, and couldn't quite get the hang of the 'radar' or the tool selector. I got a 'C.'
The cut-scenes are very high quality animation stills, the voice-work seems to be very competent. I like it A LOT. I never really got a chance to play Second Opinion (?) and decided to wait for this one, rather than take a step back.
So far, so good!
...Oh!
...Boobies!
You are the weird one. FFXII is one of the highest rated FF games, many people love it.
New podcast is up.
"In this week's podcast Yodariquo, DarthHomer and Aspro talk about the latest gaming news and give first hand accounts of, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Hotel Dusk, Sakura Wars: So Long My Love, Yakuza 3, Dead Space Extraction, Dead Space, That's So Raven, Red Dead Redemption, 3D Dot Game Heroes and Alan Wake."
I'll be very interested to know how the difficulty ramps up. If it 's going to be like the other games, or if I'll be able to finish this one.
The press likes it. Real people don't.
Be interesting to see if you get like Dvader, not liking it at first. I hear the game takes the training wheels off, but only after 30 hrs? Nice grab on NMH2 and Red Steel 2. Good to know that some of the USA VGpress crew actually have a sack.
Did you get motionplus then?
Nice. Did you skip New Blood too? That game came out like a year late in Europe. I will get Trauma Team, not know but eventually.
Great selection of games, look forward to hearing your impressions.Updating now.

Front Mission Evolved Advances to North America on September 14, 2010
Square Enix announced today that the North American launch date for Front Mission Evolved has been updated to September 14, 2010. Developed in collaboration by Double Helix Games and Square Enix, the riveting third-person shooter will be available on PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and in stereoscopic 3D for Windows PC.
Front Mission Evolved breaks the mold of the franchise, delivering the action-packed experience of a third-person shooter within the distinct aesthetic of the Front Mission universe. Set in a world full of destruction, conspiracy and crumbling alliances, players will take on the role of Dylan Ramsey to face enemy armies while in control of a giant, customizable, bipedal tank known as a wanzer. Every wanzer is outfitted with extreme firepower, and players must fight through critical battles across a world on the brink of total war. As they make their way through metropolises such as New York City over 150 years in the future, Front Mission Evolved will embed players in heart-pounding, large-scale action unlike anything they've ever seen before.
In addition to the single-player campaign, four different multiplayer modes allow players to enter a new battlefield solo or in a team. Players will be able to pit their highly customized wanzers against opponents from around the world so they may prove the superiority of their own war machines.
"Both Square Enix and Double Helix are committed to delivering the ultimate, evolved Front Mission experience," said Ami Blaire, Vice President, Marketing of Square Enix, Inc. "This installment advances the franchise into the third-person shooter genre, and come fall, fans will be blown away by the high-octane action that Front Mission Evolved offers.

I too liked FFXII, it was a great game.Me three!
Yup, as I was saying, only the weird and crazy people like it.
Umm, if that really was Steel, wouldn't he be crying and his daughter having a great time?
