Someone needs to give me a good game recommendation.  Nearly a month after beating DQIX I'm still in a gaming funk.  Galaxy 2 has worked in spurts but I think I'm done with that now. Nothing left but the pain in the ass stars and the game has just stopped being fun now.  Nothing else has held my attention more than a day or so.  I've been going through my back library and well here's the "pick-up and put down" list from the last 2 weeks.

I'm intrigued by the 51/49 phenomenon. It's happened now in the US, UK and Australia.  I wonder if it is because of the way elections are now processed in the same way -- or the negative advertising.  In any case, representative democracy is unsustainable in countries with large populations - as de Tocquieville pointed out.  Australia still has a tiny enough population that the government is essentially good (regardless of which party has a majority), but even so this 51/49 stuff is depressing stuff.  

The professional advertising class are using starkly polemic appeals to drive votes and it is working too well.

 Don't listen to that vile creature. From my understanding you do not like 3d Mario's with the exception of Galaxy 2. Well Galaxy 2 is the closest 3D Mario got to 2D Mario. Sunshine is the 3d Mario with the big sandbox like levels. So in other words the farthest you get from 2d Mario, You would probably hate everything about the game except for the void levels. Get No More Heroes 2. If you don't feel like playing it get it. The lower the expectations the more fun you have.
