The only good thing about that Gamespot Back Ops review is that you can see the first proper wii screens ever. It does look a lot better than these pics though, truth be told.

I rented Black OPs yesterday and made it to the prison area so far.  I'm a little disappointed. The game just kinda pulls you along, okay, follow this guy,  now follow this guy. Like Leo adi, it's just a bunch of action sequences strung together.  The controls are a little hard to get adjusted to.  I'm so used to pressing the left stick to duck, but that's for running.  I'm so used to holding a button to run, but that one is used for ducking.

Everything is soooo scripted. Like they take you to this roof and say use this crossbow. And you have no option but to use the weapon they want, to destroy the targets they want. Then use this missile to destroy this target. Then later a stealth segment which is so scripted, I mean you can't even use stealth in any othe rpart of the game.

It's scripted to the point where it's kinda boring.

Yes, thank you. I like COD4 and Waw to a lesser extent, but the single player in Black Ops does nothing for me.

LOL I just realised that the pic above is representative of the gameplay in Black Op's campaign as a whole. You are on this forced one dimensional path, following someone else.

The world's first Donkey Kong Country Returns review is in - and respected US mag Game Informer has slapped down a mouth-watering 9.5/10 score.


          The mag's writer reports that although they have "been looking forward to this game for months", the final product "blew me away".
