Can't wait till Christmas to play Halo Reach single player too.
Yauch, I think I overdid it with the Wii Sports Resort archery and power cruising, muscles I didn't know I have in my arms and chest are sore and hurting. I guess in these events you hold your arms up in weird positions which don't resemble much you normally do. Especially archery. Although my main cause was probably the power cruising since I did it for a long time in free mode, finding those floating balloons that extend your time limit and let you explore the island's waters more. They should have allowed excite-like controls that don't require the nunchuck for it. Are there any other archery games on Wii that control like this? I really like it but just three courses will get old, even though you can make it more challenging by disabling the crosshair and wind indicators.

In the case of uDraw Studio the tablet area that you draw on corresponds to the area on the screen that will display your work. If you draw on the top right corner of the tablet, the scribbles will appear on the top right corner of the space on the screen, etc. Dood's Big Adventure is a little trickier, but essentially it's the same thing - the tablet corresponds to the screen. It takes a minute but you figure t out quickly enough. Dood also uses motion controls ala Monkey Ball or Koroinpa, but I like it better here since you have the added weight and size of the tablet. That makes smaller gestures easier to do.
I saw in the commercial it said that uDraw has motion control and they showed the tilting. But doesn't the wii remote dock in the uDraw and it's actually the gyro in the remote that is tilting no?
Played more Epic Mickey, about 3 hours in now, it's pretty decent. Looks glorious in the 2D house interiors, some of the 2D levels are fun too. Wish the whole game was just 2D levels with more fleshed out design and mechanics.
Got to mean street, lots of fetch questing here, one character wants something from another who wants something from another. It's basic fetch questing but the happy music and visuals make it easy enough to enjoy. I painted up the town and the characters got these happy mickey icons which was cool. Painting the town can get obsessive and they hide some things right at the top of the screen so you have to search them out and paint in first person which is satisfying.
Now I'm into the game, I would give anyone who gave it a 6/10 a weird raised eyebrow look. At one point I was cursing the camera trying to jump up this windmill, until doh
I realised I wasn't even supposed to be up there anyway, so I was kind trying to break the game design unknowingly. Had my first boss fight which was cool. It's a good game, lower your AAA expectations and you'll find a solid and enjoyable platform/adventure game.
Oh yeah the cinematics are beautiful and the story, tinged with sadness, is nice and affecting.
Little Kings Story on amazon for $14
Too expensive!
Yeah, about $14 too expensive.
Just reading the 1up B review of Epic Mickey, like IGN, these guys didn't work out that you can hold C to lock on? WTH?
"The camera tends to work against you in battle as well. When you're fighting multiple enemies, since you can't lock-on to anything, "
i picked up a copy of worms battle islands today
i hope its a good game in the series i have always loved the worms games
Yes it's taking advantage of the Wii remote's motion control. It's not separate hardware. But since its docked in as opposed to just plugged in it, they're able to make the whole tablet motion sensitive. I think it actually worth mentioning in the commercials because in that regard there is more to it than just being a drawing tablet.
...
That's how most tablets work except the uber expensive ones. It's really not that bad once you're used to it. It becomes perfectly natural.
A Link To The Past (And This Couple's Future)
There is a reason I'm posting this...what has been seen cannot be unseen.
I think they are pushing it a little hard, but then it's probably Ubi's biggest game yeah? And it will sell.
I'd agree with Fable 3, but nothing else on their list. From all accounts Fable 3 sounds like it lacked some creativity and direction and this is FABLE 3. It should have had the complete attention of Lionhead and Microsoft. On many of the other things, they are either completely wrong or premature. Is Kinect and Move a dissapointment? To whom? Who was waiting for these devices? And again, from most accounts they do what they advertise and are selling well.

On IGN's top 10 disappointments, I guess I'm not surprised FFXIII is #1. I was kind of expecting it.
Still, FFXIII was enjoyable, but I do agree that it's one of the most disappointing games ever, especially with it's long development time and insane hype. GT5 had a similar burden, but I don't know if it would be a disappointment...since I haven't played it yet!
