What was interesting at the time was that Kojima said the 3DS character models they made for the E3 demo had the same number of polygons as the MGS4 models and that given time he could improve them further.

Next game I am looking at is OOT. But by the end of the year if Super Mario 3DS, Paper Mario, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing come out as Nintendo said, it will be a killer lineup.
Yeah for the money of a 3DS I think NGP is more for me, I will get the new Nintendo console when then comes out, I just can't commit to two portables and PSP is keeping me very happy on that front in a way that GB GBA SP never did. Though I can't say I ever tried any DS systems just never felt the urge. Too much other stuff to play. Portables I admit are low on my list though.
NGP specs are slick. It's a little large for a portable though, it's bigger than the original PSP and I think the analogue sticks stick out? Might be uncomfortable to carry about. One thing I heard was that the earthquake might have delayed the NGP release but I think Sony denied it a few days later.
Not to create a rumor mill on that subject, but if I recall recorrectly Sony confirmed that it would be able to release the NGP in Japan by year's end, but worldwide was questionable. The after effects of the Tsunami/earthquake were a lot harsher than anyone expected so I will be surprised if it gets a worldwide release in 2011.

I don't know if that was meant as sarcasm, but frankly I'd say that alone proves he has his pulse on what gamers want moreso than most people in that kind of roll.
No sarcasm, true story. He comes from Pepsi Co and Code Red was his baby.
Worked on me, I used to suck down flats of diet code red.
Yeah before I switched to diet drinks I was a big fan of that as well. But it was right around that time that Mountain Dew sort of proclaimed themselves the "drink of gamers." I don't know how successful it was for sales overall, but after that they started doing Halo flavors of Mountain Dew and promotions for X-box and other video games, so I've got to assumed it worked out pretty well for them.
