Another week gone! What did you play?

Uncharted 3 MP Beta: Reached Lv 31. Definitely need to quit on this so I can play something else. Still, it's so cool. This weekend ND added another map (Yemen) which I already played and beats the shit out of any U3 or U2 MP map. It's amazing, with wide open areas, cramped corridors and high spots to snipe from and be sniped at.

Dragon Quest IX: 43-44 hours in. It has too much shit to do that I can't help but feel a bit OCD about it and discouraged because of the fact it's unlikely I'll ever max out at least ONE character. At any rate, I have now 6 fyggs under my belt.

Rough week of gaming for me.

• The  Godfather is finished (XB). I'd give it a 9. The ending comes out of no-where.  About 11 hours of game if you ignore all the side missions.
• Nostalgia is almost finished. I'm going to give this DS RPG a proper review when I am done, it certainly deserves some attention.
• Champions of Norath (PS2) Got a little bit further on this one.  Boy did Snowblind call this one in. Minimal effort applied to differentiate it from any of their other games, but it doesn't matter because it's hella fun with co-op.
• The Warriors (XB), I am about 5 missions into. Very impressed so far.

Yeah I watched the Bioshock Infinite demo on GTTV and damn it was so freaking awesome. I definitely can't wait to get that game.

Since I was traveling and I'm broke I dug into the backlog and got out Pokemon Platinum. Technically it's not really a backlog game as it was never mine. My daughter is the Pokemon freak in the house and since she moved on to Pokemon White, she offered it up to me so that we could trade Pokemon and I figured why not.

I actually owned a copy of Pokemon Pearl when it came out 4 years ago, but I wasn't a huge fan of it and traded it shortly after playing it. After 5 hours in I'm starting to remember the things I didn't like about it. They just threw in too much to do and its easy to get distracted. I'm almost at the point in Platinum where I quit in Pearl so I'm going to try and just focus on playing it old school. Catching Pokemon and moving the fuck on.

And Marvel Pinball is still being played as well.

God this reminds me of how much I hate Comicon now. The way that the entertainment industry pretty much took this event away from the fans just makes me mad. That being said, I'm curious to hear what this will be about. Rumors about a "Super" MvC 3 have been circulating for a couple months now. Since the game now sells for around half price/$30 it would make sense to announce its successor.

I've seen that Homer has been playing a lot of FIFA11.

So I have been playing Chrono Trigger and finished that.

Then I started playing Blast Works, but was a bit frustrated by that.

So I put in Galaxy 2.

Sooooo good, then I played that level and did that jump.

Yes I am talking about this jump

So, I had to try dozens of time for one succesful launch, plus when lauched I would botch my landing and fall to oblivion.

But it felt so good. Fuck yeah

I didn't play much this weekend as I went camping with family. My nephew brought his PS3 though so we played some Mortal Kombat in which he kicked my ass. Kids these days are too damn good.

So you played PS3 in the woods?

I played more Majora. Godamn gilding your sword. So it took a day to beat snowpeak so on the second day I got my sword done, did the race, got the gold dust. Picked my sword up on the morning of the 3rd day, had my gold dust ready to make it permanent and that little weasel blacksmith said he couldn't do it because there was no 4th day. So now I have to go back to day one, get the hot spring water to melt the hearth. Get a goron powder keg, beat that damn race again and get my sword fixed on day 1. Then wait till day 2 with no sword, pick it up, give the gold dust and wait till day 3 to pick it up. Not exactly easy, there will be a lot of song of time manipulation.

What worries me more is that to get the world to defrost so I can talk to the frog I have to beat the dungeon and boss again.
