I haven't played that one yet. I'll give it a try soon.
No you!
Well its definitely the screen that drains the battery, there's no doubt about that.
Mine is in the hands of UPS now....2 day air, yay?
Still feels odd having to send in a controller for repair and not a console.
Considering the battery compartment is twice as big as the battery that they put in there, it almost seems like they planned on a bigger battery then at the last minute decided against it. Probably something to do with cost, knowing Nintendo.
Move is definitely better..it makes it play just like RE4 on the Wii. But RE5 is RE5 no matter what controller you play it on, for better or worse.
I'm surprisingly impressed by NSMB Wii U. Seems like the HD graphics really gave the development team a kick in the ass for some inspiration. At the core it's Mario, but there's a few levels where they're doing things that have never been done in Mario games before. For example, on the Beach/Water land there's a level where Mario is chasing by a giant eel. It's actually chasing him though, as opposed to being on an established route. So if Mario swims high to avoid it, the eel will double back in his direction and have another go at him. Really changes up how you normally progress through a water level. The boss levels against the Koopa kids are great too. They're very unique levels, whereas in previous games there was always a feeling that they were all kind of familiar and just the difficulty was increasing. The "Big Island" levels that you come across were excellent too. Far better than how they were originally done in SMB3. There's even a very light story element in the game that's never been there. Nothing award winning or normally even mentionable, but it's kind of cool to see things progress instead of just seeing the Bowser kidnap the Princess at the start and then never see any mention of it again until the end of the game.
At any rate I'm a little over halfway through the game, though I've not really gone out of my way to play each level as it seems nearly half the game is optional. I haven't gone out of my way looking for many of the secrets exits and such either yet. Definitely lots of replay value to this one. So while it's probably premature I'll go ahead and say it, it's better than SMB3.
One does not simply say a game is better than SMB3. Thats just absurd.
I agree with --BOTH-- of you. SMB3 is a hard one to top, but if you're starting to think so, Robio, the very idea makes me VERY happy. From the very start the game exudes something I did not feel with any other "New" Super before and that's a very, very good thing!
Once I complete the game, which should probably be tomorrow or early this week at the latest I will throw down with a detailed list of reasons and state which is the better game. Like I said, I know it's early but I'm having more fun with Mario right now than I have in years so I'm just about ready to hand the title of "Second Best 2-D Mario Game" to this one. Of course it's still no Super Mario World, but please.... what is?
I still like SMB3 more than World.
Well that's just because you're a deviant.
Public Announcement: If you like Metroid-Vania games, and you have access to a Wii or Wii U --AND-- you have not played La Mulana, you are stoopid. That is all.
Im stupid. I refuse to give Nintendo $10 when I have $4 that I cant use. Let me add $6 so I can buy that game. Until that happens Nintendo can suck it. Plus they should release this game in HD.
This. SMB3 is better than World. Can you ride a shoe in World, no.
Cape >>> Shoe. Super Mario World, FTW!
The cape is the worst Mario powerup ever. It controls like ass and if you do so happen to master it you can use it to basically break the game. Its a terrible item thankfully never brought back. Raccoon suit so much better.
My Gamepad is in UPS transit and will be delivered to Nintendo Monday. Yay?
Agreed.
