At least one of them is. I think.
Happy Halloween on Frigay!!
So I'll be trick or treating with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell then Wonderful 101 for me.😊
Soooo if Sony collapses, what happens to the Playstation brand?
Actually no!
All we heard about the battle system of XV sounds dissapointing. Maybe it will work out, but so far I am sceptical. Also the ceiling as you said it, is lower for FF. Monolith soft with the backing of Nintendo are a talented studio. Square Enix not so much. Actually the development of XV was a huge disaster. Plus X has Mechs, so it is an auto win.
The king is dead long live the king
Yeah... I don't know why anyone would give Final Fantasy the benefit of the doubt for anything right now. I'm certainly not going to write it off as "instant suck" but it's been a while since Final Fantasy has had an installment that knocked it out of the park. This is not the guaranteed hit franchise that it once was.
That being said I don't care about X either.
I'll buy it. Muahahaha!
I'd buy that for a dollar!
Trick or Treating is over. Thank God! Fucking brats! And that's just the adults.
In my area Trick or Treating was last Saturday we had no Trick or Treaters.
We took my nephews to their other grandma's neighborhood.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
It dies, and MS will have the biggest orgasm in video game history fucking over everyone.
They would get a .......XBoner!
I for one would welcome our new lords and masters. Doritos and Mountain Dew for everyone!

2001.
Xenoblade's battle system uses too many buttons.
That better be a lesbian.
It's a man! Tucking does wonders!

It's not gay if the balls don't touch!
A ton more was possible on PS3 and 360 compared to the pitifully weak Wii and Xenoblade was still bigger and better than most other HD JRPGs. I don't see how FFXV looks better, graphically yes, in any other department it's way to early to call. But would we even be having this conversation if FF hadn't ripped Xenoblades craggly environment, background filling landscapes and huge monsters to fight? Sure FF must have had some of these elements before but I don't think it's a coincidence that everyone is seeing Xenoblade PS4 when they look at it.
Still there will be vast differences in how they play and the tone of the games. FF looks tonally inconsistent with prehistoric landscapes coupled with modern freeways and billboards, audis and futuristic shocktroopers - fighting Japans biggest boy bands. Xenoblade Cross will be the same as Xenoblade, same battle system, new story, similar environments. FF looks potentially more interesting as it has so many disparate elements but as for reliability and who I would have most faith in delivering, it would be Monolithsoft just based on the last game they did.
Depends, maybe someone will buy the division, if it has new owners what are the implications then? People think Sony will just spin it off, set the division free like a bird to do whatever it wants? Sony needs money, it has debts, why would they let something go when they could sell it?
People need to think about it. What if a movie studio bought it and then forced first parties to make nothing but games based on their movie stable for instance? Or the new owners decided mobile gaming was where it's at? Some new owner could gut the parts it doesn't see as a priority. I used to have a Lovefilm account and then Amazon bought them. At first nothing changed, then Amazon forced everyone to have an amazon account to use it. Then they changed the whole service to be Amazon Instant video. Instead of a monthly subscription to watch anything, previously free to view (with subscription) material was priced per episode to watch, to rent. Movies suddenly became £9.99 to buy... digitally to watch not own. Walking Dead and all other modern programmes became £1.89 per episode.
Fewer and fewer new movies were made availible to view "free" and instead added as paid options. So you had a monthly fee then they expect you to pay again to each episode or movie. New owners can really fuck over consumers.
At the moment the gaming division is one of the few profitable divisions at Sony with the rest of the company losing money. This is not a good thing, the other parts of the business will be relying on the gaming division to bring in the money and some of that money will inevitably be used in other non-gaming areas within the company instead of being re-invested into gaming, because the company as a whole is making massive losses. It's a good thing for Sony's gaming division to be making money, but it would be better if the whole company was doing well.
Everyone takes Sony's financials too lightly, can you imagine a few years ago if I told you Sony was going to pull out of the TV and computer market? Their stock has reached "junk" status and they only way they keep drumming along is by hacking out parts of their business and making thousands redundant. What if.... PS4 flopped? Anyone thought about that? If the rest of the company was in rude health it wouldn't matter, with the company as it is today if PS4 flopped it could have been the last Sony console.
