I have two theories. There's either going to be some kind of cataclysmic event that will dramatically change the landscape or a full dark/underworld is going to appear where the bulk of the game will be played.
Either that, or real dungeons are just going to get added and the overworld won't be that big of a deal.

Zelda LA, my god is gorgeous. Not sure about full priced game though... hope they add lots of new stuff.
Link's Awakening looks awesome, I can't wait for that. Reminds of A Link Between Worlds but better.
Also, whatever you think about Konami, the Castlevania Collection is fucking awesome! It's got a beautiful menu system & a giant in game history book with all kinds of cool info and interviews.
Someone at Eurogamer hypothised that there'd be a large underground terrain spanning most of Hyrule. It'd fit with the trailer and could elegantly slot in with the existing overworld, while also serving as a 'dark' world equivalent. Personally I'm rooting for this to be true. It'd take some work for the underground terrain to be as breathtaking as Hyrule itself, but I'm sure Nintendo could pull it off if they wanted to.

I watched a better feed and it looks pretty nice but basic. You have to remember it's a year away virtually and Nintendo games tend to get better looking in the final couple of months. Needs to add some effects, lighting and more detailed shading.
Panzer Dragoon is a remake of the original I hear.
I might try it out if its cheap. I'm not a huge fan of the endless ports switch is littered with but if I haven't played them before I don't mind. I still want re7 and gta v on it.
I saw the trailer fullscreen today. It's a sea of fog. Or blurry as hell. I don't get it as Skyrim is huge, crisp and looks pretty great. Witcher 3 looks like they just dragged a slider to lowest.
Looks like a flash game. Kinda similar to modern Donkey Kong. Just do a great 3D platform er already.

Sorry, but Cyberpunk looks so utterly soulless compared to Witcher, and soul was the only remarkable thing about Witcher. But one's based on a book, one a game, so that's not too surprising.
But the only original IP of this E3 I've seen so far that I like the look of is Death Stranding, so I don't know what that tells you.
Of the little I've seen, it's pathetic that Final Fantasy VII remake and Link's Awakening Remake look the best of the show.
Grandia HD Collection. Well, okay then. I never got around to playing the copy of the first game that I bought on the PS Store.
