I thought I'd be excited for FC7, but not really. I was excited for 6 and waited a while to buy it. When I did finally purchase it, the excitement quickly went away.
My only problem with a sequel is that we will be too familiar with Hogwarts having explored it so much in the first game. Will they keep the same basic map and change things similar to how TotK did it? Or maybe we visit a different school of magic.
Nah, I think it was the right call to allow you to create a new character during a different time period.
Yeah Im fine with Hogwarts Legacy as it currently exists, I just would like the same care put into the movies that inspired it.
Kind of like Star Wars, they're obsessed with making original games in the SW Universe. But I'd also like a proper Star Wars game which follows the events and characters from the movies.

They'll Dark world it, Nintendo style.
There's a lot of stuff clearly Zelda inspired here, but not as good.
I played 15 mins of Star wars Outlaws in handheld.
Not impressed so far but I think its because I can't get the colour how I like it.
With Cyberpunk and Hogwarts I had to tweak display settings in game or just turn off HDR on Hogwarts legacy and reduce the brightness.
Turning off HDR does nothing to the colours in handheld on Outlaws.
Usually when you lower the in game brightness the colour gets boosted and you lose that washed out look.
Maybe its because of the time of day, but the colours seem quite muted to me.
The textures are pretty good, solid. But Cyberpunk textures are waaaĆ ay better and as a texture inspector Im not jazzed to look at them here.
The ray tracing section which I could notice in the one part with metal walls looked awesome, gives surfaces a more solid look.
The performance is rock solid, immovable so far. 30fps that's near locked feels so much better than the 30fpa on Ps2 or 360. If the framepacing is solid it feels really good.
Kays hair seems better after the patch, I hardly notice it.
The handheld resolution is supposed to be 1080p but to my eyes it looks 720p softish. Hogwarts looks 1080p and Cyberpunk is slightly under but graphically smokes them both.
Still need to see it in the big screen or just get into daylight in portable.
The audio is the most impressive thing to me, the sound mix and music, background dialogue feels as rich and diverse as a movie.
Cinematic screen ratio in handheld shrinks the display a bit making it sharper.
If I see a good texture I literally walk up to it and stare, move the camera about.
If its bad then it breaks the immersion. In Cyberpunk they paid so much attention to textures you would never reasonably expect a developer to concentrate on. It's all these little details piled on top of each other that makes the world so immersive for me.
Back to Outlaws I think something needs to be patched regarding the hdr as it wont let you move any of the HDR adjustment sliders.
If I ever to decide to get a Switch 2, I'll definitely wait for an OLED model.
The screen is really great, the colour on DK Bananza is searing and the clarity and frame rate is great. At first when I dropped from tv to handheld screen I was disappointed.
But when you play these games as they are, just portable without directly and instantly coming off the tv they look great.
I think you can't adjust the in game hdr on Outlaws full stop. You can do it system wide on switch 2 when playing on the tv.
It's a bit odd when the title screen for Outlaws looks colourful and then the game loads and its more muted. I have tweaked brightness so its better now than the default.
Far Cry 7 is coming day and date with other versions. That Avatar game is coming, Beyond Good and Evil 2.
And 2 Rayman games, the first is a remake the second is Rayman 4.

Been hearing a lot of negative chatter about UE5 on Digital Foundry and on resetera.
Spotty performance, frame rate drops, bad Lumen performance etc.
One that mirrors the films and has as much content as possible in game. One where you age from year to year and have muggle world excursions.
Also have lots of side content.

Looks great on Switch 2, even handheld.
Mines downloading...
New Nintendo Direct on Friday!
My body is ready to be disappointed again. They're not fooling me anymore to get my hopes up for some big announcements.
Same here. I really just want to know the Metroid release date but I'm preparing myself for zilch.

Texture Inspector. Lol

Looking forward to seeing this upcoming Nintendo Direct. Really hoping we at least get a release date for Metroid Prime 4.

Still have yet to check it out on the tv.
