Always something seems to be bloating the price of technology. A few years ago, it was crypto mining taking all our graphics cards; the crypto mining trend largely fell off, but the graphics cards are still crazy expensive.

Now corporations are converting farmland into large-scale AI server farms, thus raising the prices for electricity and RAM,  so they can get rid of human workers and create lots of slop of videos for social media.

Greed is good.

Technology has been getting hammered left, right, and centre when it comes to prices for several years now and it’s absolutely ridiculous. First it was crypto farming. Then it was covid. Then tariffs. Now it’s AI. Crazy to think that we’ll see yet another price increase on current gen systems. Probably be a good idea to pick one up soon if you want one.

I'm looking through some of the Black Friday deals that are out there this year and I saw the collector's edition of Shadow Labyrinth for just $30. That game came out all of 4 months ago, so I got kind of excited thinking that would be a good steal. Then I remember the reviews... So probably not.

Whenever I see an AI slop video, it feels gross that this is pushing up electricity bills.

Yeah, me too. It's a dumbing down of society as well.

I've felt exactly the same about social media for years.

I took advantage of the eshop sale and bought Batman Arkham Knight. I spent a good bit of time this weekend playing it.

I ended up getting hooked on CloverPit this weekend. It’s a rogue-like slot machine game. Very addictive.
