Wow Dragon's Dogma sounds awesome! What am I going to do!!!?!?!?!??!?! I still need to finish Xenoblade, then I have Witcher 2, and I still have Skyrim but soon Dogma hits. What is up with all these 100+ hour games.
The online integration is so perfect. It is taking ideas from Souls but makes its own twist. Still its a single player game but with awesome online components. That is the way to go, cause playing with people generally sucks
Did you see the part where it mentions that the development team is primarily Devil May Cry and Resident Evil dudes. I thought that would be the first thing to catch your eye...

Loungin' Thought: Who's Left for Kratos?
If they went for my idea for God of War 3 where Kratos gets killed and the rest of the gods take turns peeing on him, they wouldn't have had to go back and do yet another prequel.
Seriously, this is a story that reached it's climax and and is over. We know just about everything about Kratos at this point. There's a serious lack of anticipation at this point. While I wouldn't say the God of War storyline was a top level story, it wasn't bad at all (except for Kratos not dying). Not really sure what's left to tell.
Death in Greek mythology was personifid by Hades, ruler of the Underworld domain ... brother to Zeus - ruler of the Sky domain and everything below it, and to Poseidon - ruler of the Sea domain. I think he's fought all of them already.
The 4 horsemen are not Greek mythology either, I think they're in the Apocalypse so that would be Christian mythology.
I think that's probably the only way to go. They should start mixing up mythologies, Kratos should try his hand at a few Celtic or Norse gods and monsters
edit: Actually what I said is not true, there is also Thanatos (which is the word for death in greek still) and it is personified in Greek mythology but he hardly ever appears in any stories or does anything so I think Hades is a better representation

As much as I love God of War, I feel kind of burnt out on it and because its such a story driven game as you say, what is really left for them to do? Just close the series out and create a new IP with the same style gameplay and a new story/setting.
