I started playing Mirror's Edge 2 last night. Really liking it so far. Seems like they made an actual game around the concept this time. The first game was a neat idea but it felt more like a tech demo than a full game.

For some reason though when I play this series, I always get the urge to look at Asian porn.

But it IS a very well made horror adventure and it has lots of the little gameplay quirks the series used to be known for, like searching for a key to open Door X, or using chests to store supplies, or being conservative with ammo to not fuck yourself later on.

It feels like a spin off game the same way that the Revelations games do, but in a completely different way obviously in terms of style. I really hope the RE2 remake plays like a modern version of the original like the RE1 remake did. I don't want it to be an action game like RE6, and I don't want it to be like RE7 either. I want it to be what it is SUPPOSED to be.

I'm definitely interested in checking out RE7. I'm curious about the re2 remake but less excited because many parts were in Re6 and didn't feel great.
