I don't know about welcoming all those GAF refugees. We really need to think this true. Who will we admit? Who do we keep at bay? I mean, before you know it we'll be paying Turkey to keep these refugees from our forum.

A lot of this stuff seems like Victorian manners BS (minus the universally agreed on facade of manners). How this is more significant than someone being socially awkward or a dickhead while drunk? If people are traumatised by this sort of behaviour, then something is wrong with people's expectations of human behaviour. People are awkward, and people are arseholes, particularly when drunk. It's your responsibility, as well, to be able to interact with such people. The only other option is Victorian manners-level BS. And I don't know if that results in lower rates of sexual assault. There are certainly many cases of it in the old bailey, with convictions and strong punishments, too.

I agree this is overblown, but it is merely the last straw in the camels back for him (posting nudes that he masterbated to of a user's underaged girlfriend, groping a girl in front of her boyfriend, banning women who wouldn't date him, etc.) What's delicious is that he culvated a site that was the bastion of political correctness, only for that same political correctness to be his downfall.

Full agreement here as well. GAF had become the order of the White Knights that wouldn't tolerate any negative or slightly un-PC thought. And god, there wasn't even a sense of humor to be found there. It's the one place that I got banned in the past 10 years, due to a joke that all but two people misunderstood (and whoever they were god bless them for getting it). So yeah, the beast turned on its master in the end. Still, I got free game codes there and I will miss it if it does go away for good.
