‘Tis the month of October so time to play the spooky. This weekend I’ve been playing Silent Hill 2 Remake and Resident Evil 0. Enjoying SH2R. Bloober did quite a good job with it.

This weekend I've mostly been playing Duck Tales NES badly. Actually, I'll need significant improvement to reach the "playing badly" status on this game. I've spent a couple hours this afternoon, and still haven't made it off the first level. I can't seem to get the timing of the button and and holding d-pad down at the same time. I get it right about half the time. Either Capcom platformers and me just don't get along or my PS5 controller is broken. Yeah, I'm going with my controller must be broken. Nyaa

Really enjoying my play through of Borderlands 4. I'm maybe about 40 hours into and not even halfway through with the main missions.  I am also really enjoying Super Mario Galaxy 2 though it does have some problems. Maybe I could address those later.

I played a little Final Fantasy 3 this weekend. Not a lot though. There's a series of 3 or 4 dungeons you have to tackle in a row and ita basically one long ass grind.

So I finally made it to a statue in the first level in Duck Tales. The statue told me I could proceed if I paid $300000. I paid it and a platform raised me up and I spoke to Dewey. I died shortly after that, but the checkpoint was before I spoke to that statue, and now bitch statue wants another $300000! I ain't got that much money now. So I spoke with Launchpad instead, who took me back to Duckburg. Now I have to replay that level all over again. I'm going to bed. LOL

Edit: Oh, and I just discovered Scrooge can whack tree stumps with his cane and get more $$$. I'm going to whack everything tomorrow.

I finished up Star Wars Outlaws and started Blacksad Under the skin.

It's a telltale like adventure game where you are a Detective and all the characters are animals.

It's set in the late 40s I think. Very good so far. I had no other option but the Switch 1 version played on switch 2 which fixes a lot of the problems.

But if you have other platforms play it there. It's quite hard boiled with swearing and racial slurs.

A boxer has gone missing and the gym owner found hung over the ring.

So the FF7 Integrade director had more interviews.

He said lighting was the most important factor in making a game look great. And they reoptimised the Switch 2 version to lower the rendering cost in other areas to push ps5 quality lighting.

He said if you optimise the game you can make it at the level gamers expect.

He then said in his opinion switch 2 is a truly amazing machine.

Probably. Most of these indie games are hard as hell these days.

Well damn it, this conversation makes me miss Steel. Hard to have a conversation about hard balls and not think about him.

Didn't Nintendo announce some Pikmin animations a while back?  Bet it's for those.  That or the baby is the final boss in Pikmin 5.  Too early for a new Pikmin though, it hasn't been a decade yet since the last one.
