The anomaly is that it is done.

Eldest Souls is a pixel art soulslike, critically well received.
Seems decent, dripping with atmosphere and awesome art, but not sure I want to spend so long on whittling down bosses.
Side note, should I avoid Elden Ring?
Got Gigantic Army, its a spiritual homage to Cybernator. Seems quite fun. You're a mech in a 2D platformer environment.
And finally got Okinawa Rush, this game is insane. Feels like a long lost 80s martial arts movie.
It's published by Pixelheart who do a lot of solid underrated games like Ganryu 2 and Wallachia.
It's a 2D action platformer which channels the spirit of 80s martial arts movies. It's tough as balls, but immensely satisfying when things are going your way.
You're often fighting 10 plus enemies at once who attack in a gang. But you can use a heavy attack which smacks the closest enemy into the rest of them, which knocks them all down. It's a bit like Resident Evil style crowd control.
There's also weapons scattered about you can use like nunchuks and swords.
It has a 2 player mode, which should be fun and might even out the odds.
Also has a story and arcade mode. The story mode has full voice acting and seems quite well developed.
Tha games controls are quite unique, not bad or good, but different enough to pique your curiosity. The jump is super high like a Luigi high jump.
You have to parry thrown weapons but instead of a parry button you have to press the directional pad to the direction they are throwing it from.
It all makes the gameplay feel more involved like martial arts, rather than button mashing.
Need a dpad for Switch 2 already, come on Hori
Anyone play the elephant shrine where you destroy the whole building? Love when they do these flashes of brilliance in some throw away manner.
Loved elephant layers, lightning crashing down. Game takes a while to get going, but once it clicks I literally have to force myself to stop playing.
Also loving Cyberpunk, on my 2nd playthrough (even if I haven't finished my 1st one)
200 hours in.
This is the first rpg I played where different decisions lead to different outcomes. It adds so much value to the game. And there's so much real estate im discovering whole different areas and challenges I never knew before.
Super cool game.
If anyone hasn't read this article yet, I highly recommend it. This is the most perfect example of game journalism I have seen in quite some time.
However, if your time is far too valuable I understand and I can sum it up. A YouTuber has reported from an anonymous source that Metroid Prime 4 is almost done but there's a problem. But they also can't say what the problem is. But problems have happened before and they've gotten past them. Although this problem may be more severe than the last time. And again, all from an anonymous source reported by a YouTuber, that the author of the article watched.
I have it on good authority that the problem is that they don’t know whether to release it before or after StarTropics III.
I'm aware of his annoying face being pushed on YouTube but only recently knew what he did.
He lied about the Nintendo direct, lied about the rumoured games.
Now he's facing a backlash and claiming it was a social experiment.

This just shows the cowardice of modern game journalism. This is of course the correct answer, but they're scared to announce it because it would probably tank the rest of the gaming industry. Why would anyone else buy PlayStations or PCs when they could have a switch to and play Star tropics 3 for the rest of their lives.
Exactly. They been paid off to keep the game buried. Disgusting.
Watched a couple of his videos over the years. Don’t really follow him much. Did hear about this incident but honestly haven’t looked into it at all though. Don’t really have any opinion on it one way or the other though. Don’t really care about it one way or the other either to be honest. Try not to get too into YouTube drama.
I watch other YouTubers do videos on his credibility and how we should believe him as he's the biggest Nintendo youtuber. People took him at his word, but he seems to be the human equivalent of Woody Woodpecker.

Aside from that, I've been streaming more astrobot, which I am retiring this weekend now that I've found every bot... Except that final one locked behind. That's stupidly hard final challenge.
Oh, and I'm still spending a few minutes with the sexy furniture game.
This weekend I played Atari 2600, 7800 and Genesis versions of Ms. Pac-man. All three are still a lot of fun and challenging.
This weekend played Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. Excellent game. Some Donkey Kong Bananza. Another excellent game. And the Shinobi: Art of Vengeance demo. Looks to be an excellent game as well. Watched SummerSlam which was a two night event. Quite an entertaining event.
