One of the most interesting things b
about the direct was hair for me.
I'm very interested in seeing how various games cope with hair models, particularly regarding upscaling.
FF7 seems to have resolved the dithered hair from earlier trailers, assuming what they showed was switch 2 footage.
RE Requiem has a lot of hair artifacts that needs sorting.
There's barely any hair artifacts in Hogwarts Legacy probably because the detailed hair models don't swish about.
The hair in Cyberpunk is fine only really noticeable on one bad side character.
Meanwhile hair on SW OUTLAWS is terrible, only for the main character it seems. But since you're looking at the environments its not something that will annoy you constantly.
I wish they would tailor the hair model around upscaling, have simpler models with less artifacts. At least give us the option. Or, how about a hat?
The game world is so big though I thought there would be even more things to do. For instance it took me 175 hours on one save file in Cyberpunk. Still haven't seen everything. Did another 175 hours on 2nd save file, still haven't seen everything.
Have another 3rd life path to do.
Near the end of Hogwarts Legacy you realise that the gameworld is filled with basic merlin trials and random villages or enemy encampments which play out in a similar fashion.
This illusion only really breaks at the point where the credits roll, so it's not a bad thing. I just want more stories, more content.
No Dlc outside cosmetics?
At £18 for the Switch 2 version (upgraded from the Switch 1 ver on sale) this a solid no qualms recommended title.
Anyone picking up Borderlands 4? Leo? I think I will wait for the Switch 2 version.
Not to be that guy, but according to, "what games your friends are playing" on the PlayStation loading screen, Leo is in fact playing Borderlands 4.
Which is probably more interesting than me playing Date Anything. Apparently even my PlayStation is a little offended I'm trying to play that again. About 30 minutes into it, my controller lost its connection to the PS5 and refuse to reconnect. I took that as a sign and turned it off.
This weekend I decided to go the chill route and play some Stardew Valley (Switch). After a couple hours, and realizing I have no idea what I'm doing, I gave up on it (temporarily).
I'm now playing the original Harvest Moon (SNES) on NSO. This one seems to be much more my speed.
Been playing through the Metal Gear Solid: The Master Collection Vol. 1. Finished Metal Gear Solid and started MGS2. MGS is still a great game but man, those PS1 graphics are rough. Wouldn’t mind a remake of that with some QoL improvements.

I was hoping it would at least be the Twin Snakes version.

Great games. Stardew Valley can definitely feel overwhelming though, especially if you've never played one of the Harvest Moon/ Story of Seasons games. Hell, I've probably played more of those games than 99% of the population, and even I found Stardew Valley overwhelming when I first played it.
OG Harvest Moon is still really good though, but can get a little old after the first in-ear game. By that point, you will have probably gone through 75% of the major in-game events. After that it starts to get overly repetitious. But still, it's good for learning the routines and the balance, most of which carries on even into Stardew Valley. If you haven't gotten too deep into it though, it might be worth skipping it, and going into Harvest Moon 64 (if that's available). It's still a pretty basic game, but they did a good job of expanding the gameplay without adding so much that it makes you feel like you don't know how to begin.

I'll have to check out Harvest Moon 64 soon then. I believe it's on the NSO Expansion Pack, but I only have the basic NSO subsription currently.

It would have been nice if they had included that one as I never played it.
I vaguely remember reading that Konami won't re-release Twin Snakes because Nintendo had paid for its development, and wouldn't allow it to be released on non-Nintendo platforms or something like that. Simlar to how they wouldn't allow MS to release Goldeneye until recently. Hopefully, something could be worked out someday for Twin Snakes too; that's the MGS I played originally.

It runs 720p/60 in both portable and docked on Switch 1.

Did almost everything in 50 hrs.

Got it... Hope to see you soon, Vault-Hunter!

Yeah! All these years later and I still have fond memories of our co-op adventures in Borderlands 2. Some of the best mp experiences ever!
