Did anyone play and enjoy the original Octopath Traveller? I got a $25 PSN gift card, and I was looking around at what's on sale right now. That seems to be the only game that I'm genuinely interested in that I haven't played before. So it's either that, or else I'm going to rebuy games I've already bought or played a time or two before.

Yeah, really enjoyed it myself. Playing each of the eight characters was interesting and unique amongst them all. Cool to have them all come together and party up later in the game. Pretty fun battle system as well. Definitely gets a recommendation from me.

Octopath traveller is awesome. But the second game is even greater.

Mortal Kombat Kollection is getting thrashed on Steam reviews for being an unfinished, laggy mess offline and even worse when played online (no lobby or matchmaking); seems to be the same on other platforms as well. Digital Eclipse says patches are coming. I was looking forward to this collection, but I'll wait for a price drop and patches now.

It's really sad how rotten the gaming industry has become when they even rush out a compilation of 30+ year old games. It's also telling how many MK games were left out of this $50 collection. DLC anyone?

Such a heartbreaking loss for the Toronto Blue Jays last night. Being so close to winning it multiple times really makes it hurt more. sad

Don't know how you feel about Switch 2 game prices and game key cards, but some games seem to have drastically dropped in price on Amazon.

It makes Nintendo 1st party games seem overpriced.

Split Fiction is half the launch price, Hitman is virtually the same off. And there are more games as low as £23.

Yes they are GKCs but the price is less than what they are on the eshop.

Other games are around £40 or less like some of Ubisoft's games.

Definitely would prefer the Switch 2 games to be cheaper but it won’t hold me back from buying a game that I want. Am pretty much indifferent about Game Key Cards. I’m not one to sell or trade my games so the benefit of them for that doesn’t really matter much for me. Would probably just buy the game digitally anyway. Having said all that though the Switch 2 is primarily a system for Nintendo games for me. Any multi platform games I’d rather pick up on my XSX or PS5. Nintendo games will most likely always have a fully physical version but will also be more expensive and go on sale less frequently.

Yakuza 0 is only £35 physical too. Used to be £55 or something.

I'm kind of okay with key cards.

Downside is that you have to plug it in to play. Wish there was an infrequent authentication method. Like plug it in every other time you boot.

But if the GKC is cheaper than digital, I kinda like getting a box and cart as a sellable memento.

Yeah, if the GKC version is cheaper I’d probably go with that as well. Do like having something physical for the collection.

I didn't play too much either this weekend. Just a little bit of Civ 6 and some Joe Montana's Sports Talk Football 2 on Genesis; it's still a fun game.

I've mainly been playing Hades, and finally got the proper ending after defeating Hades in combat 10 times. I'd also like to say that it was well worth the struggle. The game had an excellent ending, and it's always nice when a game of this caliber has a conclusion that matches it.

I progressed in Miles Edgeworth 2 a bit this weekend.

But mostly playing Alfred Hitchcocks Vertigo. It's a telltale like game.

Switch version graphics are rubbish docked. It feels a lot like Edith Finch. It's plot is strange as it's both boring yet compelling at the same time. I did feel compelled to keep playing it to uncover the truth. You do psychiatrist sessions with the main character and then dive into his memories.

It is interesting and I'm sure the visuals are better on other platforms.
