What does sumo do these days other than Sonic Racing?
They did Sackboy: A Big Adventure for PS4/5 a couple years ago, and before that they did Little Big Planet 3, so I think they are the de facto developer for that license for Sony. They've always done a lot of work as a support studio as well.

Nintendo seems to make left field choices for acquisitions.

Better yet, Atari should buy Sega.
It feels like Sega is already a part of Nintendo.
Id like to see a Nintendo-made Sonic platformer.
Atari would likely do much better with Sega's back catalog than either Sega or Nintendo, though.
