It's sad to see the loss of game manuals in addition to reduced physical media. I've been reading a lot of old game manuals lately, and they add a lot more to the experience than most in-game tutorials.
Who'd thought that Atari would be releasing new games on physical carts with color manuals in 2025. Really looking forward to get 7800 ports of Tiger Heli and Pac-man laster this year.
Will never not miss having instruction manuals. Very sad. Really loved Working Design published games back in the day. They really put out a quality physical product. Embossed glossy covers, manuals, sometimes a nice cloth map for RPGs, etc.
This weekend played Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. Excellent game. Some Donkey Kong Bananza. Another excellent game. And the Shinobi: Art of Vengeance demo. Looks to be an excellent game as well. Watched SummerSlam which was a two night event. Quite an entertaining event.
I need to get NG, I'll do so soon. Shinobi demo is amazing, what a time, NG and Shinobi games! DK is getting better and is constantly creative. I was hovering around an 8 score but now its playing with a 9, I assume it will just get better. Very fun game I just wonder if it will reach that super great level. And im still playing DS2 cause i must 5 star everyone! The game continues to be great, love the hard missions post game. My review is now up, there is some frustration with the game, I think the post game might be better than the main game, its really changed my reaction to it.
YouTube has been pushing clips of Adam West's Batman TV show in my recommended feed for the past week or so. I remember watching this as a kid, but watching it is an adult brings a whole new level of entertainment! It's not just for kids folks. I may have to seek out the complete series on DVD soon.
The original Batman was a primetime television show and was originally developed for an adult audience. But because the fights were presented so goofy it found a kid audience and got that label even more once it entered syndication. Needless to say, the kids missed out on a lot of the jokes. Hell, even the vocabulary that Batman uses had to have gone over a lot of kids heads. Adam West dropped some serious SAT words.
One other fun fact for you. While the show was in its original run, Adam West and Bert Ward would go to orgies and sex parties in costume, and would give the women an opportunity to actually have sex with Batman and Robin. It's never been clarified if they went to the parties together or not though.
And if I can, I'd like to share one other lured sex tale from the world of Batman and Robin involving Cesar Romero who played The Joker. In most of his roles, Caesar would typically play a variation of the the Latin lover, but behind the scenes he was actually gay. According to popular tales, he had a particular fetish where he would stand in a tub of warm water, while his boy toys would fling orange wedges at his naked ass.
Some people say it was actually tangerine slices and not orange wedges, but I'm inclined to believe the more popular version of the story.

I just heard that Digital foundry went independent. That's huge news. Between this and the influx of new staff at EG, who in my opinion clearly have a different style of writing, since the ign takeover I'm not sure how much of pre IGN EG still remains. Sad times for a long time fan of the site like me.
I filled out the survey yesterday. Asked for dick in a box.

Yeah, every time I open up a new game and find an empty box with a piece of plastic I feel a tinge of sadness. Such a shame.

*BAMF!*
Ugh. I was just on line for an ice-coffee and I got summoned... Who needs what now?
Oh! Well I got the dick, but you won't find it in a box EVER again! I learned my lesson a looong time ago!

Oh, and I think I have to also say, "allegedly."
How altruistic of them.
