GTA 6 has been content complete for a while but needs a year of polish says Tom Henderson.

Sony says Destiny 2 has underperformed and has some $200m impairment charge against Bungie.

Switch 2 game sales are smaller compared to switch 1.

Bloomberg says Switch 1 sold 3 games per console at launch. Switch 2 has sold 2 games per console, they say because of backwards compatibility.

I'd say Mario Kart being bundled didn't help.

What Switch 2 games have you bought so far?

I have:

Mario Kart World

Donkey Kong Bananza

Hogwarts legacy

Star Wars Outlaws

Cyberpunk 2077

Fast Fusion Racing

Hitman World of Assassination

But also bought several cheaper switch 1 games on the eShop

I’m sure the games costing more isn’t helping at all. Here many of the Switch 2 games are $100+. Only got two Switch 2 games myself. Mario Kart World which was bundled and Donkey Kong Bananza. Also bought Mario Galaxy bundle but that’s classified as a Switch 1 game.

Maybe it's because a lot of those switch 2 games are ports already out on other systems for months or years?

I bought them because I don't own any other systems.

Yeah, I’m sure that’s a factor as well.

I agree with Reggie. I too am surprised that Microsoft hasn’t announced more games for the Switch 2 already.

Apparently Nintendo didn't send them devkits early enough.

I think they still viewed MS as a strategic opponent in some way. So they maybe didn't want Switch 2 info leaking out early.

And entrusted the devkits to the usual 3rd parties. Microsoft also didn't start making noises about their multiplatform strategy early enough for Nintendo to realise it was real and happening.

Octopath Traveler 0 demo out, save data carries over.

I love the series but I'm all Octopath-ed out 🏧

Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2 Switch 2 out tomorrow at half price £25 each and bundled together for an extra discount.

I was going to get the GKCs because they were the same price but they were taken off amazon and marked as unavailable.

Aragami and Cloud punk are on sale on the eshop at historic low prices.

I nabbed both for around $4 each

I'm struggling to find anything that I'd like to play until Metroid arrives. I considered Goldeneye but I don't know.

The Super Mario Galaxy movie trailer looked pretty good. Love that they’re basing this off of the Galaxy games. Enjoyed the previous movie well enough so am looking forward to seeing this one.

Let me know what you think about Cloud Punk. I've been looking at that game off and on for the last year or so. I feel like there's a good idea there, but I'm not sold on the execution.

Will do, I just tested it for framerate on switch 2 as on switch its dodgy.

Rock solid so far.

I just finished watching DF Steam Machine video. It's about as powerful as a PS5, but in a much smaller case (6 inch cube). It's designed to be affordable, but no price has been announced.

DF also speculates it will be the beginning, and more powerful Steam Machines will likely come out later on from Valve and third parties. possiblely even allowing PC gamers to install the improved version of Steam OS onto their own PC rigs too.

Interesting stuff. I really want that new Steam controller.

A little bit disappointed in the amount of VRAM but if they price the Steam Machine right then I’ll definitely be interested in getting one.

Valve'll price it out of the market. Only pc gamers looking for an easy tv setup will buy it.

As for the controller, I liked the look of the original better.

The VR goggles looked nice, although very similar to quest. I wonder how big of a difgerence the foveated rendering will make.

I disagree. I bet they're shooting for under $500. They didn't overprice the $400 Steam Deck.

This game.... I loved and was so extremely frustrated by it.

And if you think about it, it was really an odd game to have even been made. The Addams family movie was still a few years away from being made, so it was basically a video game based on a 1960s TV show that was pretty hard to even find in reruns by the late '80s. And then of all the characters, they made Uncle Fester the lead.
