This weekend I played some Super Mario Galaxy in anticipation of the rerelease of Galaxy 2. I also played some of the Bananza dlc and feeling the buyer's remorse.
Nintendo releasing paid DLC this soon after the initial release is very un-Nintendo.
Hi everyone, super busy. Not gaming. Not doing anything really other than work and work on my farm.
I have a question on Switch 2. When you transfer your games and content to the Switch 2 from Switch, does that mean you cannot access said content on Switch 1 any more? Or are DL games and content available on both? I'm || close to gettig a S2 before they raise the price on it.
I vaguely remember reading that Konami won't re-release Twin Snakes because Nintendo had paid for its development, and wouldn't allow it to be released on non-Nintendo platforms or something like that. Simlar to how they wouldn't allow MS to release Goldeneye until recently. Hopefully, something could be worked out someday for Twin Snakes too; that's the MGS I played originally.
I figured it was something like that.

I haven’t even played any of it yet and am already feeling buyer’s remorse.

I don't own a Switch 2, but I looked into it. Yes, you can keep playing your digital games on your Switch 1 after your Switch 2 transfer. Your digital games are tied to your Nintendo account, not the console. However, you will need an internet connection to play them on your secondary Switch; this is to prevent mulitple people from playing the game at the same time. Physical carts don't have this limitation. Whichever console you set as your primary Switch, also doesn't require an internet connection for offline games.
Apparently, my progress hasn't been saving in Harvest Moon on NSO. I thought that "writing in your diary" and going to bed saved the game?! I downloaded the pdf manual, and it states that's how it works. But when I went back to the game just now, there's have no freaking diary save file. Nothing. WTF?

That could be a bummer for my application (Daughter's Switch is on Aeroplane Mode by default to keep her from getting onto YouTube or initiating large downloads). Similarly, it gets used a lot in the car and other places...
It's not a deal killer, I'll just have to be thoughtful about how we manage things, I guess.

They're doing it with Pokemon as well. Thats not DLC, its missing part of the game.
Really sad to see Nintendo going full on greedy, and adopting the worst industry practices.
I bought it, so I am feeding the greed.
We've all done so, or these practices would've been stomped out years ago.

Heard some not very good impressions on it.

Create a save point.
For now on, yes. Since Nintendo's official emulators aren't trustworthy.
