Thought I’d have a fiddle with LBP2’s logic capability, drawing on some digital electronics experience – wanted to share my first digital circuitry…
That’s an 8 bit parallel access store, typically used for mainting values locally in registers in CPUs. The key is that you set the values you want, jump on the button, and they get ‘saved’. Awesome!
From there you can build integer units – crucially, all using a controlled store. Unlike the calculator level in LBP1, this allows you to create sequential instructions that operate on cycles – effectively a CPU, combined with indexable controlled store – aka ram. Plonk on top of that a grid of square lights…. aka pixels.

What????
Sounds impressive whatever it is, I am sure it will be used in some crazy way. Best part is once its all done he can pit it into a microchip and share it with the community so none of us have to do the work.
What is a Phlegmon?
A. One of the bosses in FFXIII
B. A new Pokemon
C. The stuff that comes out when GG blows his nose.
D. A spreading inflammatory reaction to an infection which forms a suppurative lesion
It's relatively useless. By the description and look of the screenshot, he's just created some registers, which store numeric values. And the description is wrong, registers are not RAM, and it doesn't sound like there's a CPU.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileBasically its a comparison to the LBP calculator which was a million times more complex in LBP1, he is showing how much easier it is in LBP2.
It won't be useless when that turns into some crazy math game or some mega puzzle or who knows what else. Someone will make Brain Age in LBP.

I have no fucking idea of what did I just see, or read. But I'm confident it will translate into awesome user created levels for my enjoyment.
This is that furry animal racing level, you get to see it in create mode. See how the music editor basically controls the whole level. Beat Blocks Galaxy can now be done in LBP.
Another video showing off a basketball mini game. LBP2 will also be the greatest party game of all time.

Oh man I can see myself having lots of fun creating stuff in LBP2. I'm getting pretty pumped for this game.
Alright, let's do this. Next podcast, go ahead and argue computer science fundamentals. OH IT'S ON.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI'm not arguing anything about computer science, I am saying stuff like that will be used to make great tools for levels.
Sonic on the Genesis destroyed Mario to the point that up until Sega pulled support for the Genesis the console was outselling the SNES two to one. In the early nineties kids were afraid to say they owned a SNES. Sega's marketing was that effective.
Nintendo's competition at the time was Super Mario World versus Sonic 1, 2 and 3K. Sega won the "platformer" battle with three games (Sonic 3K being the flawless victory). You know in the era where a video games console was called a "SEGA" and when people thought a game was shit they would say "looks like a Nintendo game".
Were you alive in the nineties?
........
Fuck I just derailed the thread into a 16 bit console war. Fuck it:
Super Mario World (SNES): 96.50% (Review average: Gamerankings/Metacritic)
Sonic the Hedgehog (GEN): 90.17% (Review average: Gamerankings/Metacritic)
You know what dude you're right. Mario was reviewed better than Sonic.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (GEN): 91.88% (Review average: Gamerankings/Metacritic)
Oh wait. We're getting closer. Looks like Sonic 2 was a little better. Still no Mario though.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (GEN): 97.50% (Review average: Gamerankings/Metacritic)
Oooh. Ice burn from Ice Cap Zone! Sonic 3 is reviewed better than motherfucking Mario. Why? Because it was a better game (and for the record: combined Sonic > combined Mario in sales in the Genesis/SNES era).
Sonic wins on both fronts! Seriously when Sonic came out shooting round the screen at mach speed Mario looked years out of date. Sonic was a revolution (at the time).
I do appreciate that this depends on location (Sega killed Nintendo in Europe) though I put that down to all you Americans being brainwashed by the shitbomb that was the NES.
.......
And DKC became irrelevant when people realised beneath that soulless high resolution shit was slow-ass gameplay from hell. Hence why in retrospectives DKC is poorly reviewed (without a fanbase left to give a damn) whilst a new Sonic game creates a 250 page thread.
I can do this all night bro. Your move Drago.
And you guys call ME a crazy Sonic fan. This is what is out there. I actually keep you guys safe from the psycho Sonic fans.
Looks kinda fun!
