For me, none of these HD warm-overs move me. I played the GC PoP last year and it looked fine. It's just another way of keeping the brand active/ reselling old IP.
They giantbomb guys. It's so funny to hear the difference between thri podcast and gamespot's right now. It is like they are playing two different games entirely.
Hey, what's up GG.
And yeah, I get paranoid about consoles and stuff. If there's even a slight problem I go haywire. But this is persistent so I'm just still waiting to decide what to do. I'm more concerned with putting my priorities back together. The good news is I'm making some first steps. The bad news...I'm basically starting all over again and it feels like my goals is just a long ways off.
And I had no idea Castlevania was supposed to be a original IP. I do know that Konami was trying to reboot the series. I thought they originally asked Mercury Steam to do it but maybe they were just pitching it around and than Kojima saw it.
So if it was a original IP, do you think IGN, Gamespot, or 1up would've given it a higher score?

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
I'm just sick of gamer cliches, as I was talking about in my blog on reporting.
C'mon, lets go through the rosary of gamer reporting:
- Sonic games must suck
- Independent games are better than studio games, or at least cooler.
- Retro pastiche is cool (but VC isn't)
- Kotick is evil, Pachter's a fool
- EA was evil, but now they are not, or whatever, I guess they are still evil, just not as much as activision
- Handhelds suck
- Nintendo is some alien company we cannot understand
Any I'm missing?
That's not a cliche.

Next time someone is going to splooge that much, please give me a warning so I have time to put on my rain slicker.
None of those statements should be taken as me questioning their validity or not, I'm just listing the well worn roasary og reporting. And you are correct suh.
Exactly. Which is why you also make Kojima the spiritual overlord as well.

Lol. A K-On! game. I want it.
Well, I decided to pick up FF4 Heroes of Light today. The last game I picked up was Other M and Reach. So I was pretty happy to get this this afternoon.
I've been playing it and damn I'm loving it. Something about it is just so charming. And that art style...the most beautiful DS game I think so far.
Anyone else thinking about picking this up? Robio? Leo? I know you guys were planning to get it.

I almost rented Other M last night. But a bag of nacho chips got in my way and I forgot.
Arcania Gothic 4 is coming out soon. Saw osme screens and thought it looked interesting but had not heard of this series before.
Has anyone got any first-hand impressions of the series?

Yoda! How do I fix this?!
What the series is has no relation to Gothic 4 as it's by a different developer which doesn't seem to care about Gothic and simply set out to create a fantasy RPG. The last game the previous Gothic developers created is Risen, and it's much closer to Gothic gameplay (adventure-like quests, being able to fight people without proceeding to murder, etc). Risen was pretty good (on PC) but with a horrible end game part which soured the experience. Still, the parts leading up to that were good with diverse quests and choices to make inbetween all the killing and looting. Gothic 4 has a demo available so play that and see for yourself. Personally, I thought it was pretty bad. The graphics, especially outdoor, are full of jarring elements when in motion, the combat feels OK once you get a few skills and spells, but the quests, voice acting, writing, and pretty much every other element (invisible walls, weird jumping, many minor or major annoyances) are at best half assed.Still, it's only the beginning of the game, maybe it gets better once it opens up the main story and world. I did enjoy some of the final dungeon crawling parts in the demo. Incidentally, Gothic 3 is pretty bad as well, as the publisher rushed it too much (and it's after this project the developers left to create Risen on their own) and the gameplay's borderline broken, though the world design and other elements are better than Gothic 4's demo. Also, all of these games are unpolished.

Cosmic Walker Studio In Trouble?
Cosmic Walker looked really interesting, this is sad. It's also weird as they're saying Nintendo commissioned the project which means they had funding so I don't see why they would close like that, unless Nintendo pulled out (perhaps after they failed to meet deadlines or something) and they didn't get any commissions from other publishers. That, or they impressed Nintendo so much that they've been absorbed!
