Rumours already a mess. From "significantly more powerful than the PS3" now it's "on par" with current HD systems. Lol. Now I don't know if I believe any of this at all. Good we're halfway through the month so we'll see if Nintendo sends out any related PR (with no details, just saying it will be at E3 or whatever) by its end.

Also, that GI podcast is the most awful I've heard. I don't think I'll listen to any more for the next decade. They just take 5 minutes to talk about their rumours then there's a ton of Nintendo trolling on top. They've pretty much condemned it as a failure already, lol. Then they throw in the usual motion control bashing (not forgetting to add in how awesome Killzone motion controls are, lol), graphics bashing, software bashing, saying their last new IP was Pokemon on Game Boy (lol), etc. That source of theirs, if it exists, should find someone better.

Pretty exciting. Like I said after 3DS was shown, I think with the new home console they will put to rights the hardware to satisfy gamers and publishers. They have the success behind them that their next console wont be considered a risky bet after DS and Wii. I just hope that the new gimmick will be one that can widely be used by all manner of games. Nintendo surely can't pull a golden rabbit out of the hat each time they need a new console?

The 3DS is...... and isn't more powerful than Wii. Wii has far better texture quality, easy. 3DS has better effects and of course shaders. But then a lot of the 3DS power is used to display 2 images on the top screen and one on the bottom screen. Plus the 3DS does full screen anti-aliasing but only with the 3D turned off.

3DS games look better than Wii games, that's all I know. The major ones anyway, and its only just launched.

Hmmm....I think that's fucking awesome having a screen on the controller for extra actions because that was one of the best things about the Dreamcast...having that VMU screen on the pad. Now if they have some kind of ultra modern version of that, with LCD and backlit, it could be great for the health bars in future Resident Evil games all over again!

I'm more curious than anything, however, about just what the fuck this new controller will be like, look like, be shaped like, with a screen on it. Surely it couldn't be a remote? Are they going back to a more traditional controller? Is this why people are saying its "not a gimmick"? Is the screen going to be touch and act as a replacement for the remote?
