Just saying:
So ... just when I realize that E3 is pretty much over... did Activision have a conference?
When you've got a shooting game not using a pointer on a console with a readily available pointer, yes it does not interest me.
Looks pretty though.
Game Informer is maintaining their status as Nintendo sceptics:
"Unsurprisingly, opinions on the Wii U are all over the place. Few are praising the choice of name, but then again, few industry analysts were enthusiastic about the original Wii name when it was announced. On the technology side, there's marginally more enthusiasm. Game Informer executive editor Andrew Reiner is impressed by the concept, but thinks the whole picture of what the Wii U exactly is just hasn't come together at the show. "I really don't understand it. Everyone is really confused as to what it is," he said. "There's no real point of connection with gamers." A lot of that sentiment is no doubt due to the lack of any real games for the system, even if there are some interesting tech demos, such as the Battle Mii prototype our editors played.
Senior editor Matt Helgeson agrees: "I think it was a really huge mistake to not show a real game. I think they should have come out with a strong first-party title that was exclusive to Wii U. The general vibe I get on Wii U is kind of 'wait and see.'" Even so, Helgeson liked the controller, and, surprisingly, thought it felt relatively comfortable in his hands, despite its size."
Great Skyward Sword gameplay demonstration.
Lots of neat little touches in how items and things are used and the visual style of the area.
It ends just before the boss but I'd guess you've seen that already for sure.
How is Killer Freaks "big" news? It looks like a XBLA project transfer. I guess that's better than Red Steel.

Paper Mario 3DS. The fact that it's a new game and not a port/3D-make of the first PM makes it game of the show for me and gives me the reason I needed to get a 3DS

I'm hoping the requirement for M+ for U games makes the add-ons for regular Wii-motes more readily available. It's going to piss off a lot of parents who though their regular wii-motes would work though.
I still have a copy of Red Steel 2 and am looking for an M+ add-on.
Infamous successfully downloaded! Now apparently i need to free up space to install it.
Amazon doesn't ship where you are?

The 4+ hour giant bombcast today was pretty good. David Jaffe was on for the middle 2 and a half hours. Lots of insights. They also had a prgrammer on from Naughty Dog, a dude from Double Fine with some Brutal Legend insights. No-one does E3 insider coverage like the bombcast. The last hour was a bit drowsy.
120 MB, be warned.
I think it sounds too health related as in Vita-mins or Activia yoguarts over here.
What?
That must be the ground breaking Wii U FPS they are making. Might be Killing Day ressurected?
What? It's not some multiplayer only bullshit is it?
Looks more fun than the description suggests. Cheesy in a good way.
What you saw with Wii 1 FPS was that the most recent ones strived to include all control methods and that included the classic controller for games like Goldeneye and Conduit 2. I think that pointer controls will be an option still in future FPS.
I might have jumped the gun on that M+ as a requirement, it was a snippet from an interview and wasn't entirely clear. At least you get to reuse all your wii controllers and motionplus is like £15 or less to snap on.
You listened to that? You crazy man, that's LOTR Extended edition length.
So I found this kinda weird, this ign writer who loved the PSP says he can't hold vita comfortably.
He says that some games require you to use the rear touch panel. So if you hold the unit normally your hand movements mess us the gameplay. So Sony put these silver grooves for you to nestle your fingers, only it's really uncomfortable to hold it that way. See the story in Wednesdays updates.
This is kinda scary:
So they are at the POP and Splinter Cell stage of - must be reinvented.
What the hell is that Killer Freaks website about, not one gameplay video or realtime pic there that I can see.
Anyone with a 3DS, using the web browser, check out 3dporch.com to view 3D picture content on the 3DS
Check this guys, 15 minutes of new 3DS games.
I LOLed at the opening, Kid Icarus this boss is there and this hulking macho hardcore 360 type game character appears and says he has some business to take care of - then Kid Icarus appears and says "Wait you two know each other?" With this saturday morning cartoon like voice.
Ending has Sonic Generations footage, looks as if it's the HD version, but its on the 3DS sizzle reel.
Well, here is your confirmation. Usually it's only treyarch who do the wii versions, this is the first time infinity ward are doing a wii one. It will probably suck if the wii version of black ops is anything to go by. But then COD4 REFLEX was a good port. So who knows.
Couple more Killer Freaks pics
• Ubisoft Montpellier -- "Killer Freaks from Outer Space"
• Exclusive for the Wii U
• "Redefining FPS Competitive Multiplayer"
• Little goofy looking alien things eating a human arm; Saw gun slices them apart.
• STORY
• A big wad of pulsating pus has travelled through space and time and has now arrived in London. It is spawning hordes of evil, nasty, flesh-eating freaks. There are a wide variety of said freaks, but the only ones shown today were the little ankle-biting (quite literally) annoying little freaks.
• No one listened to you as you frantically prepared in your paranoia for this inevitable alien war
• CONTROLS
• This is what brings the FPS to the next level.
• Darren Boyd (?) main character. You are a bit obsessed with shooting things, and with all these aliens, it's sort of open season for you.
• Control is slightly buggy in this early state
• He is playing directly on the new Wii U controller screen using the gyro controls. Every movement he makes in real life is translated to the game.
• Looks like it may be tiring. "Spatial gameplay." Clearly this requires a decent amount of radial open space, sort of like with Kinect or the 3DS AR stuff.
• "More Immersion through controls."
• Accelerometer feature moves the character much faster if your movements indicate the need to do so automatically. This makes 180-degree turns much more reasonable.
• Jetpack + guns, controllable only because of the new controller's flexibility in design.
• Two aliens kinkily spanking one another in the back of one building, lol.
• A new way of playing FPS. More accuracy when needed and more immersion.
• Now, we will see another way to play.
• 1 vs 1, local multiplayer
• One of the two showcasers is playing with a Classic Controller.
• "Real-time enemy director"
• Player 1 is playing a classic FPS game style. Nothing's there for him to shoot, however, until player 2 moves around in a top-down view of the battlefield (zooming in and out, etc.)--who plays as an alien commander--sets out to eradicate the human race by placing hordes of enemies to try and stop the player. Select a freak on the left side of the screen and set it to send it at the opponent. As Player 1 deals with the chaos Player 2 has created, 2 can watch all of the action from his top-down tactical perspective.
• Deeper -- New fun with the new controller (gyro, accelerometer); spatial gameplay
• Wider -- Real-Time Enemy Director (RED) system
Is that really COnduit's 2 cover? Looks so Gearsy lol.
Killer thingies from outer space looks fun.
So it sounds like this Killer Freaks game FPS controls like 3DS Face Raiders - you move the unit about to aim. And the other option is dual analogue control. For us IR lovers this is horrible news and I hope it wont be a trend.
Look Everyone, it's the Playstation U!
...or the P U for short.
